Series 16 – Inflectional Ending /ing/ – 10 Decodable Books

In Series 16, kids can practice reading inflectional ending ing words. The series gradually increases in difficulty. The first several books allow kids to practice ing with short vowel words only (ex. hopping, setting, skipping). Next, kids can practice reading ing with silent e words (ex. hoping, baking, taking). In the last several books, kids get to practice inflectional ending ing with all vowel types. This systematic progression allows kids to gently learn to read inflectional ending ing words.
